We want to care for one another by making WMBC a safe place for everyone to worship together and honour the government God has put in place by respecting the rules they have set out. Please remember that this is a new experience for all of us and each of us is coming into this from different situations and perspectives. Let’s continue to extend grace and kindness to one another.
Outlined below are the current guidelines for Sunday worship services and other WMBC programming. We will continue to update the information below as things continue to change and evolved. If you have any further questions please contact the church office at (204) 325-8322 or firstname.lastname@example.org and we would be happy to assist you.

Before You Arrive
Register Online if you plan to attend.
Please register in advance for the service you plan to attend using Reopen Church. This will help us to ensure we are not exceeding our capacity and will make it easier to contact individuals *if* there has been contact with a positive COVID case. If you do not register online, don’t worry, you will not be turned away, but you will be asked for your name and contact information upon entering the building. For those who are visiting and not in our directory, please note this information is only for contact tracing purposes. Your information will not be shared and you will only be contacted in the event that contact tracing is required.
Please complete a Self-Assessment before attending.
Let’s continue to serve and care for one another by staying home if you, or anyone in your house hold, has tested positive for COVID-19, has travelled outside of Canada within the past 14 days or is showing signs of symptoms of illness.
The use of Masks is optional at this time.

When You Arrive
Entrances & Sanitization
When you arrive, you may enter at any of the three entrances around the building. Our greeters will be ready to welcome you and direct you to one of the sanitization stations available at each entrance. Please sanitize your hands before moving directly to the sanctuary. We ask that you do not linger or mingle in the foyer at this time.
Upon entering the sanctuary, you are welcome to find your own seat. We have roped off some of the pews to help maintain physical distancing between rows and ask that you keep a 2m distance between families on your bench. Larger, multi-generation family groups are welcome to sit together but we ask that you please arrive together as a group.
A reminder that we are practicing physical distancing and would ask that you please refrain from handshakes, hugs, high-fives and other physical greetings to ensure a safe environment for all to worship together.
Family Friendly Service
We are aiming for one-hour services suitable for all ages as our WMBC Kids ministry will not be available for a while longer. Instead we will be adding some family-friendly elements to our large group gatherings so everyone can participate.
Bulletins will not be distributed at this time to reduce the exposure to shared surfaces and physical contact. Weekly announcements, event updates and family news will continue to be distributed in our weekly WMBC News emails. If you wish to receive these emails please sign-up online on our WMBC News page.
An offering will not be taken during the service. The Giving Kiosk is available for Debit or Credit donations. Cash or Cheque donations may also be left in the Giving Kiosk box. For information on other digital and online giving options visit our Give page.
When you Leave
At the end of the service, please remain in your seats till the ushers dismiss you by row. You are welcome to use any exit as you leave.
If you wish to visit following the service, please remember to maintain physical distance and to please visit outside the building where there is more room.
A detailed cleaning plan has been put in place and we’ll make every effort to make WMBC as safe as possible. You can help by exiting the building promptly following the service, especially following the first service, to ensure our volunteers have adequate time to clean and prepare for the next group.
We are excited to have you join us for Kids Groups! If you have a child age 2 to Kindergarten please register online. Our goal is to start with Preschool Kids Groups on October 18. We will be contacting you soon with updates and more information on how Kids Groups will run this year, with fun and safety in mind. We look forward to having you join us this year! If you would like to volunteer as a preschool small group leader please contact email@example.com
Your child can also join you in big church for Family-Friendly Worship Services at WMBC including in-service packages for your kids. Or check out our Kids page for Online Kids Groups material providing you with all the tools you need to provide a Kids Groups experience at home.
We are thankful that we are able to run full Student Ministries programming come September with only a few small changes made to ensure our students and volunteers remain safe and are following government guidelines. We will be hosting our students in a combination of the gym, foyer, and sanctuary to accommodate for the 6’ distancing guideline. We will alternate between these settings depending on what part of the night we are in. There may or may not be snacks provided, we are currently in conversation about what that could look like, again, in order to keep everyone safe.
