We are excited to partner with Ancla de Amor orphanage to bring hope and healing to hurting children. This year Ancla has seen a dramatic increase in the number of children they are caring for and we want them to know that God loves them and that they are not forgotten!

Our project this year is to provide permanent housing for the staff team at Ancla, a team that is dedicated and committed to helping each child work through their difficult past.  Many of the staff working at Ancla have been without a permanent home, living in temporary trailers.

Advent Fundraiser Launches

One of those Staff members is Alberto!

Alberto was raised in a Children of Hope orphanage as a teenager.  God’s love changed the trajectory of his life in that orphanage!  Alberto has now worked at Ancla for the last five years to help kids who were just like him; helping with maintenance and gardening.  Alberto has never had a home of his own.  With your support, we want to surprise Alberto with the keys to the first casita being built for staff at Ancla!

A “casita” is simply a small home.  The plan is to build a four-plex of modular homes, with each casita being 525 sq ft.  Our goal is to raise the material costs of building one of these casitas – $20,000.  Our mission team will then go down in March to do the work of building the casita.

How You Can Help

Pray

Ancla has accepted 13 new children over the past few months.  Pray for the kids and staff as they go through this transition and season of growth.  Pray that that the food, education, and transportation needs would be met.  Pray the children will experience God’s healing and hope at Ancla.
